Is an LSD worth it?
I want your guys opinion on this. This link is what I want to get but I never thought it would be that expen$ive. I want to get rid of the one tire fire too. So I'm kinda torn on what to do and want your opinions. Thanks

well...why is it that you really want to do this to your car? planning on tracking it or just doing massive burnouts
i would probably say worry about other mods and leave this for last unless there is some real good reason to do it now. |

Auburns can die in a fire. If anything Richmond or Eaton if you want to budget yourself. Also TC for your own good.. roasting tires on a 6er in the rain doesn't end all that well.
Just ask a guy who did it in an 8. Spun and tripped LOW TRAC all the way into 4th gear until she hooked. Non posi/LSD rears would have just made things pear shaped. |

i highly doubt he would need to be in the rain to get the rears spinning...you v6 basher you and you cant have TC on to do a burnout, it just stops all the fun right away.

- I know you can't have TC on to light some rubber. I'm saying if he wants drivability out of a gearset like that which will put a good amount of the 3800's power to the ground in straights and twisties he should probably invest in a TC rear that he can turn it on and off. On prevents it from slipping when you don't want to, off equals super happy fun time. |
