Can you get the 1LE rim in a bright finish anywhere?

Because they could re-purpose a part (rear rim has different offset than the front), but it was intended for the ZL1 that needed that bigger tire, the 1LE was too stuck with the bigger tire, so the used a 285 to free the car up at the road course.

if i get a 1LE, one of the 1st mod, would be to install a set of 305's in the rear. the rims are made for it.

The 1LE/ZL1 wheels are 20x10 Front and 20x11 Rear. The 285's all around are to have a Semi Square set up to reduce under steer. The 305 rear tires would add an undesirable characteristic that goes against what the car is all about.

That being said when I added the power to my car the 285's couldn't handle the power I'm now running a 285/295 combo. This will make the car's power more useable in the mean time but my goal is to run 295/35 on 20x10.5 wheels by the next set of tires...

I'm thinking of keeping the 285's up front and going a bit wider in the back with a 295 or 305. It will need to be an all season

Pros and/or cons anyone?

Just a DD with no plans to track. Just wanting the power to the ground

due to shipping and ability to carry tires in the car, i put some 315 DSW's on the rear and left the factory 285's on the front for a few days................the car was phenomenally "twitchy" even at low speeds (< 40mph) as i pulled out of the tire shop. i was more concerned and cautious driving the car like this than in the rain and cold. it was that scary. i got the front DWS's installed right away and now the car is back to predictable. this is my DD tire setup.
if you change to an "all season" tire on the rear, you would be best to change all 4 tires.

just my thoughts

Thinking about getting a 1LE as a daily driver and occasional track toy. Any tire recommendations for winter driving? Michelin Sport Cup A/S vs. a dedicated winter tire? Anyone use the Michelins A/S's at the track? Thanks!

I did not. Mine were stored on the car, in an attached but unheated garage parked on insulation foam. I also inflated to 40 psi before storing. I did put a thermometer near the car because I wanted to track temperature. The coldest temps they were exposed to was about 15F. I looked them over pretty good after taking it out and didn't find any cracks.
