Parking Brake Lever

Pulled parking brake yesterday. Popped. Now it holds nothing. It rachets and locks but pulls against nothing.

I'll be taking the trim off to have a look at the issue soon. I'm assuming its the cable coming into the cab since the ratchet part works fine.

Anything I need to look for specifically?

Here's a thread i found on another forum.
https://www.moderncamaro.com/forum/t...rake-help.html

I plan to adjust up my E-Brakes after fixing this so i don't have to pull it so damn far to get it to engage.

Thanks for your time.

Yea your cable snapped. Mine was like that when I bought mine. Don't make the same mistake I did and think it was the cables leading to the wheels. I ordered those before I diagnosed the real problem. You will have to get a new ebrake handle assembly. The ball on the end of the cable which comes from the handle likes to break. Not to bad of a job tho. Put the car on stands and remove the sheetmetal cover that goes above the driveshaft just after the trans. As far as inside the car remove the passenger side panel from the center console and its just a couple bolts the get the whole assembly removed.
