Best rpm launching point for V6 A6???

Does anyone know the best way to start off in an autmatic for the v6? What rpm should it be at before taking off?

About 1500. I have a 2LS. I've tried doing 1800 and even 2000, but the launch wasn't the best and it hurt my et. So I would say 1500-1600.

Yea I think I tried 2000 or maybe a little more and my wheels were spinning like crazy. I have a turbo on the car does that make a difference?

It does. If you wanna leave with some boost, you'd need to put some drag radials on the car. Just play around with it.

Start playing around with it. Try 1500 first.

1500 really?
At auto-x I've found 3k to be my sweet spot. My typical operation is to release (fairly hard) which causes some slip (less than a second worth), then right before the tires re-grab floor it (Not enough to cause a second slip usually at that point). Been my best launching method so far though I haven't played around with it much lately. Mind you I'm just an NA V6, though I just have Hankook V12s on the rear (275-40-20?)

I have a bone stock 2LS with stock BFG's. I launch at 1500. That's my sweet spot. I can't launch an higher, my tires spin like crazy if I do. And launching at 1500, for me, got me a 13.953 quarter mile run.

I have a v6 with a manual and I'm still trying to get a feel for what rpm to launch at. Initially when I first started going to the track with my car, I was launching at 3-4K. Told a friend of mine what I was launching at and he didn't believe me, thought I was crazy. The spin isn't TO bad as long as the temps are warm and lots of cars running on the track. However we had TNT a couple of weeks ago, and I spun horribly bad all day long. Temps were in the 50s and not alot of traffic on the track that day. So I've been doing some reading on here and I see alot of drivers are launching at 1-2K. Tried this on the street last night and my car seemed to bog really really bad. IDK but I sure would like to find the sweet spot for my car before bracket racing starts this spring.
