Hmmm. I know a lot of things influence insurance rates, but didn't know warranty was one of them. Interesting. A 2010 Camaro would also be pretty much out of warranty.

No, I meant the cost to keep an out of warranty Audi vs getting raped on Camaro insurance.

If you're already 17, I'd keep driving the ford, save for another year, and buy what you want when you turn 18 and move out. Another year of saving will be all the nicer of a Camaro when you finally get it.

Yeah. Then he'll be broke, paying for 93 octane, and getting 15-20 mpgs regularly. Plus... the ol' man will be pissed and saying "I tried to tell you".

The ford is pretty much out of the picture. The low mpg and high miles are why we are selling it. My dad feels it will not last much longer.

You do realize the M-D Line is just north of you, right? You have no issues with winter?

OP editing he's 17yo should have been written up front instead of a few minutes ago. Drive the 2001 'til you're living on your own.

What kind of an 18 year old drives an SS while paying rent? Not to mention that he also needs to eat and pay other bills.
