I have custom tags on all my vehicles, but these new charges and the whole "MyPlates" company thing really angers me.
Oh and...cool plates!

I've had the ones on my truck for about 12 years now. They were originally on my red 98 Camaro SS daily driven race car. When I sold the car I didn't want to lose my plates, so i transferred them to my truck. Now some third party business runs the personalized plates for Texas so it would stupid expensive to transfer them again, plus I was going to have to figure out what to put on my truck.
Then cam along the "T for Texas" plate. Its a new plate that allows you to have a previously taken combination by adding a T to the front of it. So the license plate number on the Camaro is actually TSUX2BU. Having both of these plates is like having my cake and eating it!

It's good you are in the DFW area. That would be a serious DISS to the underprivilaged Bangers in South Texas. Could be their motivation to retaliate. They trash nice cars beause they aspire to wanna-be status and for any small reason.
