Market adjustment BS...

I am very interested in trading my GT500 in on a 2010 2SS, but these bozos won't budge on their 5k market adjustment crap.

I got my 09 GT500 for 1500 under sticker when they were still going for 5k or so over and was looking for at least the damn sticker price.

I was wondering how many owners here actually paid that and if anyone knows an Arizona-based Chevy dealer that won't jerk me around like that.

I was happy to find out that my trade in was higher than what I owe on the car, so I know at least I could sell it outright and make more on it.

I think I deflated the guy's day by saying I'd wait a year until the market bump goes away and just sell the 500 and save money...

From the years I lived in an apartment, I hated the market value crap. It's not like if market value went down that they'd lower my rent, right? There is a dealership here in town that has big markups on the ones on the lots but will order at MSRP. They even said I could have supplier price if I took delivery after Nov 1st.

Just curious, but you have a GT500? Why are you trading it for a Camaro?

Definitely try another dealer -- We have a few dealers on this site that will sell you a car without a market adjustment!

If you want go to this thread, http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7789 and do a search for AZ. In your area (or what I think is your area)

Sands Chevrolet in Glendale
and
Power Chevrolet in Peoria are both on the list.

Just find a dealer that sells for MSRP!

Simple enough... find a dealer that sells for MSRP...they are out there. You will have to order one & wait, but that way you'll only pay MSRP.

Almost ALL the dealerships that have Camaro's on their lot will be at the Market Adjustment rate... my dealership sells at $2500 over MSRP if one's available ... but if you order, you get it at MSRP.

Shop around.

"Market adjustment" = Vaseline tax.

Either sell your car outright (recommended) or go to another dealer.
