Man I wish I could answer this question. Even with all my mods I still haven't gone to the track yet

Though Mark's car has a cam I'd think he's shifting a lot higher than an A6 would with stock internals.

John what rpm are you shifting at and what rpm are you crossing at in 4th
To my knowledge ProStockJohn is the only L99 with a stock cam and 3.91's that has proven that this will work. Can anyone else with same mods confirm?

Some bad math tells me that 6200rpm should be good to 114-115mph with a 3.91, 1.15, and 27.8 inch tire.
In an A6 that would have to happen with a locked converter. You can probably add another 300 unlocked.

Got a datalog of a pass from yesterday John?

I could send over a log tomorrow, but I was trying all sorts of shift points so some of them ended up being too high. But the time I went out before I had no problems.

If I have a 2013 LS3 SS,
and if I put in 3.91's in the rear,
and I have a decently sized cam,
and I shift at 7000-7100,
what will my RPM's be approximately when I cross in, I'm assuming, 4th..?

I'm looking to do 3.91's soon, will it be much of an advantage over the stock 3.45s for 1/4m?

LS3+cam+3.91's is a very nice set up. I think you will be about 5000-5500 in 4th crossing the line. If you want a 1/4 mile gear to cross the line near the top of 4th you will need a taller gear.

FWIW my shift points were all 6100 and over and I went thru the traps just fine in my car.
