Why I Chose the Color I Did
Not wanting to hijack another thread I thought we could share why we chose the stock color we did. This is not about bashing the other colors. Feel free to talk about stripes too!
I chose silver for several reasons: It's gorgeous. It shows the car's lines very well yet it can be made to look classy or sporty with some simple changes. I don't want that hot date thinking I'm going to mash the pedal alll over town and cause her eyelashes to get stuck to her forehead (we can ease into that). At my age (53) I prefer the notion of a sleeper. No need to advertise that performance is king ala "arrest-me red". People will see a rather pedestrian silver, no stripes. Perfect for me. Its in the top 3 of most popular car colors. That could be factored in if I chose to sell down-the-road. There's a bunch of links on the web that confirm this (ironically, white is the top color go figure, then black then silver) That's about it for me. How about you? Paul |

Inferno Orange Metallic because it is close to the color of the Convertable show car we all drooled over

It's been the hardest decision I have ever made. Right off the bat I wanted black. It's classic, elegant and timeless. No to mention with the addition of some wheels and accents it will look sinister. I always wanted a black WS.6 too. I went back and forth on victory red, inferno orange and silver. I have yet to change my initial order of black but VR is really on my mind since 3 of the 4 F-bods I have had were red and I loved it. Not to mention the VR 1SS looks great. VR just seems a little dull for me. I know owning a black car is like a having a second job to maintain it, but it won't be a DD for ever.

I picked yellow for a few reasons.
1. Was the color of the 72 Camaro my buddy and I restored. Looks awesome and he still has it. We did the restore in 82. 2. As I drive thru my town I have actually been looking for yellow cars and I have only found 1 on regular bassis and it is a V6 Stang. I want my car to be unique in a way that not eveyone has that color. 3. Looks good at night and day and can even get dirty and not look bad. |

Victory Red.
I'm 47. My first car was a 68 Matador Red, black stripes, Z hood and with rear spoiler, Cragars. It also had a black interior. Oh yeah, it had the bench/bucket seat option! M22, 12 bolt posi. I sold in 81 to my friend. When I saw it a few years back, I felt like I wanted to cry...then I wanted to kick his ass. It was sitting in a field, stripped and rusted out. Even the dash was cut out. |

Hello!
|
I tossed around several colors before going with silver ice metallic. My first thought was silver as that is what the concept was revealed as and I loved the concept!
Another reason...it just shows the true lines of the Camaro so well! I'll add black rally stripes to give it the sporty look. Finally, this is not your ordinary silver car! If the color is anything like the Traverse I saw at the dealer, add in the black stripes, the overall look of the Camaro and I think you'll fall in love! |

Black SS/RS
I am dating myself, but the first Camaro I saw.......was a Black SS in 67. I had not even heard about the Camaro. I have wanted one ever since!! |

This is a tough decision. I guess Aqua Blue Metallic, because it reminds me somewhat of my first Camaro....a 1969 LeMans blue/white rally stripes. I just wish the ABM was a bit brighter. However, I will be waiting til the 2011 model year, so if they change the blue choice to something brighter, that is what I will get.

Cyber Gray all the way! i love the blue shine it has & it looks great in any light!
Black - too hard to keep clean White - too plain, every fleet car will be this color IBM - too dark, so it's just like black ABM - 2nd choice, but might be too green for me Red - too 'look at me' RJT - too classy-lookin for a sports car IOM - not an orange fan Yeller - too 'look at me' Silver - too plain
