Do it! I traded this past Wednesday, I have a super permagrin now. This car is such a different beast!

Traded my 2011 2LT/RS with 14k miles (got 24.4k on the trade in) for a AGM 2013 2SS/RS for 15.5k cash out the door.

I know how the bug can bite you cause that is what happened to me. I had a 2010 Camaro 1LT Coupe, then after riding in my sons 2011 SS Convertible gave me the bug to buy a Camaro Convertible. I ended up buying this 2012 1LT Camaro Convertible.
I didn't to it because of anything but loving the feeling of being in a convertible and the looks of the Camaro which I was already in love with was the icing on the cake.

So in conclusion I just say look into the real reason you got the bug, is it something you truly want? Or is it something others think you should have?

Hey, don't feel bad about your trade-in. Just saw a 2011 2SS/RS vert in a used car lot, get this.........1,568 miles and they were asking almost $35k.

So I went home to see what my trade in value is with my car, same car, just a 2012,.........damn trade in "excellent" condition is $33,500 and selling private $36k. This was at Kelly Blue Book, not Edmunds.com or others.

I was considering going to the 2013 Dusk edition but really, a $ 7k hit for a bit of cosmetic differences. I already went overboard with the original purchase. It would be $10k but for the GM card "rebate".

To me, there is nothing like a stock car equipped the way the engineers meant it to be. And the 2SS/RS Camaro is all the Camaro you need, that and a ragtop...

Haha. Like the engineers meant it to be and how it actually turns out are two very different things. I'm sure every engineer, myself included would love to get rid a cost factor, then things would be how they were truly intended. (I'm a network engineer, not mechanical etc hehe)

I traded in my 6 for an SS last year and it was sooooo worth it. The camaro is already a pretty impractical car. Might as well go all the way and get the big honking v8. A car this heavy needs it.

The v8 bug is a nasty one. It will NOT go away.
