Floatiness implies an underdamped condition where the suspension motions are not controlled very well. The ride quality would generally be soft unless the amount of damping is low enough to allow frequent bump stop contact.

Overdamped would make the ride feel like the tires were solid rubber much of the time. You'd go over a railroad grade crossing where the rails were maybe 10 mm above the asphalt with a "ka-blam".

It looks like we 2 different trains of thought here. But there lies the rub - what is too soft for one guy is too harsh for the next!

The question everyone needs to ask themselves is what are you using the car for?

Well put it this way. I feel like the car is too dampened on compression and under dampened on rebound,.

Norm, how do you think the ride and handling would be with the BMR 1" lowering springs and the 1LE shocks?

Firmer and more responsive to steering input.

Which shocks/struts would suit a 2010 SS running BMR springs?

Car is daily driven and roads are kinda bad here.
