Worst Wife/Girlfriend response to Camaro

So, my girlfriend is getting out of control with her comments about my Camaro addiction. Recently she said, "You spend more on the car than me!" What's your horror story??

Mine thinks I pamper it too much. Even though we're BOTH paying for it (historical fact: she suggested we buy a hardtop then instead of wait for a 'vert), she says that I'm too particular about the car on it should only be driven on nice days, parking it far away from the mall instead of up close, etc. But it's just that ~I~ am the one that has to wash and detail the car. Heck, if SHE would just once get out there after driving a car in the rain and clean it up, I'd not be so protective of weather conditions. But, she's a much better cook than me. So I don't make a big deal out of it, otherwise she might poison the food.

Every time the Camaro gets mentioned, it's blah blah blah 'American car' this, and blah blah blah Crudweiser and mullets that.

That's what happens when you've been together with an Audi snob for 7 years.

It gets really quiet, though, when I bring up the fact that the new S4 in our garage grenaded a water pump at 9k miles and had to be towed 15 miles to the dealer.

Well, unless you have bought your gf a $25k gift, then I'd have to agree with her.

My wife has been overly positive about my Camaro. The only negative thing she said was when I was all angry about ABM being discontinued. She said "don't get it if you don't really want it" That scared me straight. I knew I had to be positive or else she wouldn't want me to get it. And trust me, I love my SW car now that I have it!

I probably talk about something car-related on a daily basis with her. She really isn't into cars at all, but she is definitely supportive about my habit. I am lucky.

Well I guess you're right, it just hurt because I try so hard with her. But, she talked so much crap about my last car being junky and old. Now that I have a sweet ride she is mad because I care for it too much. I can never win.
