Side vent accent molding - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

My 2011 SS Convertible has black molding that accents the side vents. I have noticed that not all models including other SS's have it. What is the option that results in the accent molding?

No Camaros come with side vent accents. They are after market.

A lot of dealerships add them, kind of like you see them do pin stripes on other cars.

None come from GM that way

Thanks - Contacted cars original owner and received confirmation that they added them as after market. Also apparently after installing them they realized that they were installed incorrectly (upside down?).

The look fine to me - but now am curious as to what the error in installation is.
