Awesome! Road Atlanta will most likely be the biggest race of the season with the best competition. Plus you get 2 races in 1 weekend! Along with tons of other cars to watch with SCCA races going on.

More info on the performance side of the car is we run the blueprinted Katech LS3 with the truck intake (more torque), a spec cam, headers, and a restrictor plate to reduce the HP to just under 500. Minimum weight is 2830 lbs running 10in Goodyear slicks and a Jerico 4 speed road racing transmission (clutchless shifts!) with a quick change rear end!

Oh and I almost forgot, my teammate is TA legend Pete Halsmer that used to run for Roush along with team owner Mike Miller!

Hey Woodside, let me know if you decide to go. That sounds like a fun trip. I have been wanting to go to some races either this Trans-Am series or some of the Grand-Am Rolex or Continental Tire races.

Sorry didn't see you post till now. There is not one spec chassis at least not at the moment. Alot of the new camaros and cars coming into the series are the Howe chassis but some of the older cars run ex-asa chassis. My old car ran a 2000 Port City ASA chassis run by Mike Cope and he also help us with setup and maintenance. Chassis isn't dictated by motor but body is. A mustang is in production now and should be at Road Atlanta possibly even this weekend at Brainerd. The LS3 is strengthened, runs a spec cam (ASA cam i think) and runs the truck intake for clearance reasons and for slightly more torque due to the restricter we run to keep horsepower slightly under 500. We are forced to run a 4 speed transmission with a H pattern. I think everyone runs the Jerico 4 speed with a 7.25 or 5.5 in. triple disk clutch with a quick change rear end. Hope I answered your questions! The more questions the better! Come check these cars out!

Here's a picture of my old car that also runs SCCA GTA class with multiple track records

Great to hear that trans-am is still around. I'll have to head back to road America for that next season!

Thanks! Pete had a solid second today but I finished toward the back with an ECU problem. We are the only cars running fly by wire and the throttle wasn't opening when i pushed down the pedal. Swapped the ECU and ran fastest lap of the race. We'll be fast at Road Atlanta Nov. 3-4

MAAAANNN!!! IM so Jelly!!!

Im 22 and I wish I had the money or the people with knowledge to be able to get into racing cars. Unfortunately NO ONE in my family (or any friend) is a real car enthusiast even less for car racing. I have no idea how to get into this .
Therefore the only races I have in my camaro take place between 2am and 8:00am while im sleeping!

Im glad you are having fun with the awesome opportunity you have. Hope to see you in Road Atlanta im only about 1:30 minutes from that race track. Unfortunately I've never been there because im always working on weekends, but I will try my best to show up for this event.
