Running our rear rims as fronts
Hi all, I have a spare rear on the way and now I have become a little bit curious. Is it possible to run the ZL1 rears on the front of the car for 11's all around?
Thanks in advance, Matt |

I may be wrong, but I thought someone tried this, and the wheel hit part of the suspension. They discovered this, as I remember, because the rear wheel they had was marked front.

Agreed with above.....I believe it rubs on the front strut.

The Camaro was designed with a staggered wheel set up in mind. Therefore the offsets are different.

275s is pretty much the max width on any model besides the ZL1. Anything wider and you will have rubbing on the suspension and fender.

Not really, you can get 285 or 295's without rubbing depending on tire brand and wheel choice. Heck the 1le and ZL1 have 285's in the front from the factory.
305's will rub a bit but can be done with perfect offsets. Thats the route I'll be taking, screw the fender liner I want tire. |

Dont those with 315s have coilovers which are much narrower than the stock springs?

The 1LE and the ZL1 has a different suspension setup then the SS which is why they can go wider. |
