that sucks. my 2ss/rs just threw a code last night and now my check engine light is on and its running a little rough my scanner isnt picking it up either. it just says linking error.
I hope everything works out for you though! g/l

Sounds like a chunk of a piston tried to leave the fast way. Bad fuel detonation perhaps. shaking from loss of a cylinder maybe. Cat ticking from the piston being blown around with no where else to go.

Guess we will know by Tuesday.

Best of luck to you. Pay the extra and go back with the forged internals if they will let you.

All I have done is Borla atak full exhaust and k&n CAI lowering springs, then some cosmetic mods. I have stock headers and no tune so warranty should be fine! Idk like you said it could be a number of things, just got to wait till tomorrow to Find out!

Sounds like a collapsed lifter. Also a common ailment in the G8 GT's. I had the exact same issues in one cylinder bank/exhaust pipe. Dealer replaced all lifters under warranty. They had my car for over two weeks but did finally fix it properly.

There's a Bulletin for this.... GM says that hard driving causes this and is not a problem that will be fixed under warranty...
