Has anyone put together thier own turbocharger kit?

I was wondering if anyone has tried coming up and puting together thier own turbo kit instead of buying one pre made (ie sts, rx, etc).

Biggest issue is making the manifolds for the turbo. But any decent workshop can do this easily enough.

Very nice anticharger, wish I had the skills to build a front mount setup like that! I have a custom rear mount build using a 67mm that I built for less than $3,500. Hatch, I have mid mount twin turbo manifolds sized for a t3/t4 turbo and 38mm wastegates if you're looking to build yourself.
