6.2L SS vs. 6.4L Powerstroke

All right, so this is just a hypothetical scenario that I'd like some opinions on. I've got a SS with bolt ons and a tune. I just want to know how I'd fair against a bolt on 6.4L Powerstroke with a hot race tune (~550rwhp) where the truck would be launching in 4WD.

Thanks y'all

My money goes on the truck if it has the right tune on it. Is it running an Innovative Diesel tune or some other high end custom tune, or is it running a retail canned tuner? If its an Innovative or a Spartan tune ... you might just get a big surprise at how fast a 7500 lb truck can take off while spinning all 4 tires!

It's a truck....What are you doing, a tractor pull? Let's see what happens after the first turn..

Saying it's just a truck isn't so simple when you're talking about a turbo diesel. Most are just slow and guys like to make up numbers even if their truck has been nowhere near a dyno. But, some are built and really fast, and will surprise you.

This.

If he is actually running 550 whp, then there's a ridiculous amount of torque to back that up too. You could have an interesting race on your hands.

My "sled pulling" truck did sled pull, but on the same weekend could often be found turning 11.57 in the quarter mile. And that was an old 05 Dodge crew cab, long bed with the 5.9L Cummins. Today's trucks are a whole new level of stupid power!

To answer questions it's got IDP Xtreme race tunes, head studs, EGR delete, and a 5" straight pipe. it's also on 36" tires and isn't regeared.

I've seen it beat a 4.6L GT by a lot too.

Thanks for replies guys
