ANYONE'S BRAKE DISCS RUSTING?
There's a brand new white mustang that's been sitting infront of my on-post dealership and the whole car is looking spanking shiny, except for the brake discs, which are now orangish from rusting.
It's monsoon season here and has been raining and very humid for a few months now, but orange discs on an otherwise new car just looks so very ugly and wrong. Will this happen to my Camaro in Alabama, where its also very humid? What can I do about it? |

Drive it around the block and it will be gone...... Any unprotected metal will begin to corrode quickly.

I'm in Southern California and still get a little rust on my brake rotors. Drive the car, use the brakes, no more rust! Take that Mustang for a test drive, then check the rotors. I bet they'll be clean of rust. If I was to leave a car parked for a significant length of time, I think a light coat of WD-40 lubricant would stop the problem. Be sure to clean the rotors before the using vehicle again.
I'm a USAF vet. Thanks for volunteering to keep us safe! I salute you. |

Uhhhhhhhh yeah dude.
Park your car for a month and the same will happen. If you don't drive your car, your rotors will look like: If you drive it, they'll look polished like: I hope you're a youngster |

Also like watch your drain holes on the car. If they get clogged rust moves right on in.
I know there are at least 3 in this car have not seen the full service manuals yet. |

Normal...I usually park the Camaro on Sunday and by the time I go to drive it again on Friday evening the disks have rust on them.

Every car does that, if you drive it probably less than a mile it will be gone.

Just spray some WD-40 on there after every drive and you won't see any rust!
