I see it happening like this" Oh honey, for our anniversary in October, we are going to talladega"
In the slalom, the cones are in a straight line just like snow skiing. At the "GO!" signal, you will accelerate and make left-right-left-right-left-right-left-right turns to navigate the cone course as quick as you can. The fastest time might not be the 8 cyl. We'll also have skip pad stuff. Some open track lapping sessions, parade laps and more! Don't forget that we'll also have the Car Show for those who want to attend and show their car!

Somewhere around 1:11 from the factory car. And that was with Stag driving it."

We'll have a list of the attendees. We are keeping record of all the post entries and you can bring a guest or two. But... If you show up in a Mustang to spectate, you may be encouraged to wear a makeshift duct tape Chevy emblem instead of that blue oval.

Here are a few more pics of the track.

Also, to clarify...this isn't the NASCAR oval. (that is 3 miles down the road) Little Talladega Gran Prix is the roadcourse track, where they host manufacturer testing and club trackdays. We'll be turning left AND right at the FREE Camaro Funfest!

This was done at a magazine shoot with a Camaro5 forum member in the background.

This is when we were testing some awesome products last year.

We'll be doing the skid pad in the circle on the upper left, slalom on the lower right. When we run the open lapping, the entire course will be used. Driving clinic will be meeting in the main building. The car show will be held in the flat grass section around the main building. The acceleration challenge will be on the front straightaway.

Maybe some Camaros from different states can hook up and caravan together?

I'd DEFINITELY be interested in a caravan from the D.C. area to Talladega (or starting at any point in between). Those coming from NY, NJ, PA, etc... we could meet in 81 somewhere and go from there! I'd expect to leave on Sat for the long haul, meaning a hotel stay for a night (or two) would be involved when we got there. Perhaps we could all stay at the same place to party that night (and help keep an eye on each others rides).

Perhaps a *new* thread for caravan'ers would be necessary, so as we don't clog up this thread.
