Getting into the 12's bone stock with those 20" tires may be a tall order. Some of the C6 'Vette's were having trouble breaking 13.0 with inexpieranced drivers and stock tires.

With only a 2.17 60' time, these guys did it. 13.01 @ 110 mph.

Well that run is pretty decent. Didn't the magazine reviewers have the stock 20" wheels on for their times?

My 13.51 @ 107 time was at a weather density altitude of +2,200 ft. That is like drag racing on top of a mountain. It corrects down to a 13.1 @ 110 in good weather. When we get negative DA here in Houston come fall, expect 12.8s stock. Count on it. Weather conditions greatly affect track results, and most of those magazine articles you read months ago were tested in cold weather with negative DA conditions. The cars are 12.8-13.1 cars in good weather.

I can't wait to see a 'ringer' like the LS1 4th Gen that pulled a 12.7-12.9 with Heinricy(?) dirving... It would be kinda disappointing for the 4th Gen fastest time to be quicker than the 5th Gen. (I know the 4th was a LOT lighter)...

I couldn't find the article and I did a LOT of searching...

Remember reaction time can give you or lose you a tenth or two. Not everyone is going to have reaction times like John Force.

reaction time has zero effect on your ET. it will cause you to lose a race, but will never effect your ET

We're already seeing improvements in times over what was first reported. Give it a little longer and I have no doubt these cars will perform as advertised, regardless of "planetary alignment"
