2015 2SS 1LE or 2013 2SS with SLP Super Charger

This will be my first Camaro purchase. One of the local dealerships still has a 2013 2SS on their lot. They have upgrade the car with the SLP Super Charger, ECU Tuner, 6 piston Brembo brakes and drilled rotors on the front, 4 piston Brembo brakes and drilled rotors on the rear and a Hurst short throw shifter.

Now I need to decide whether I want to jump on this deal or purchase a 2015 2SS with the 1LE package! If you have any experiences to share regarding the SLP package I would really appreciate your responses!

Cheers,
Jack

I'd take the 15 1LE.

I'd take the 13 2ss because it'll cost less money to get the 1LE package for your 13than it would to do what the dealer has put into the SS! plus, you can go and roast everything! While you upgrade your SS with 1LE parts or Better after market! If you go with the SS you are already ahead of a lot of SS's and other muscle car. .but if you go with the 1LE you'll be starting off with or behind the 1LE's on the street As they will have modded 1LE's.

I'd like to know why ppl would pick the 1LE over a brand new supercharged 2013 2SS straight from the dealer?????? How many ppl can say that? And comes with a warranty for all the parts ? Can't find another like that anywhere!

I like the 1le suspension components. Which I can add a supercharger later if I felt I wanted it.

Drag strip and road course with that supercharged 2SS , nothing will pull up to you at lights! The 1LE is Sweet and made for the road course! Not drag strips ! Maybe it's. just me but taking that supercharged SS on the road course , seem like it would be fun and crazy! Than go and look for mustang's and challenger's to smoke!

I think I know the SLP car you are talking about. Is it white with red accents? If it is I've seen this car in person. It's very nice. It's been on the lot a long time though. I prefer the 1LE but if you don't want to wait you can't go wrong with the SLP if the price is right.

Yeah, but who did the install, tune, work on the car in general? I'm sure most would disagree with me, but after the absolute shitty-ass work I've seen from most performance groups that "THINK" they know what they're doing, I'm scared to trust much of anyone to crack it open without me knowing. I wouldn't want any aftermarket modification done to a car I buy. I'll buy new/used stock and build up from there so I KNOW for sure what's been done and by who. Did they change internals? What oil did they use? Etc etc etc. All those things that make a long term difference. I wouldn't touch an aftermarket modded car on a lot unless it was practically given to me.

I'd take a stock SS over a modded 1LE, same as I'd take the 1LE over the modded SS. It's better to know then to guess.

Nice car and the price is alot better than what 99% of the people who purchased that similiar package. If you want to talk and compare the cars side by side I would suggest you make the 10 mile trek to Fairlakes Kohls C&C on Sunday as there are generally at least one of each there. Then you could look at both and talk with the owners as well. Just my .02
