new member winter tires question.

Hello All,

I am a new member, having had my Camero since August 2010, and just loving the ride.

I am looking into getting winter tires for her, stock tires are 20 inch from the RS package. I have a line on 18 inch rims and winter tires for $1500.00 includes balanced and installed. This is through my mechanic garage that I have used for over 20 years. My question is does this null and void my warranty on the car?

Cheers Dina

I can't see why that would void the warranty on your car. Also considering the owners manual strongly suggests adding winter tires, you could show them that.

I love my 20" pirelli scorpion ice and snow tires. Worked great all last winter.

I had paint work done under warranty and I also took my car in for a TSB about vibration at 70mph (110km) with winter tires on there.

They found out it was just needing to re-balanced and I got charged for the work for that. Had it been my summer tires, there would have been no charge.

Hope that helps.

Welcome to

If your in dough as your dealer, " I wondered the same thing ?", but they could be held responsible if they told you no and you ended up wrecking.
I remember some where that it states GM will not warranty any tiers that were not M/S radials ?, hope this helps.
