extended warranty pricing help
How much should a 75000 84 month extended warranty cost for a 2015 ss/rs 1LE? I was quoted $2900 from the dealer. Does that sound high? It has been less than 60 days since my purchase so should i pay the $50 and cancel the warranty and purchase online? any help before my 60 days are up would be greatly appreciated. Dont know if i way over paid or not.

I got a Karr care plus warranty for mine. Got 54 more days to decide if I want to keep it or not. So I am also interested in the responses.

You should probably keep your money in your pocket, I wish I had. Car is over 5 years old, and the one time I did try to use my E/W they found nothing wrong. with reasonable care these cars don't break.imo.

Call Becky at Rodgers Chevrolet. She will give you the best pricing available on an extended warranty. I believe you also have up to one year to purchase it. I know I paid less than $2000 for mine (I don't remember the exact figure) and Becky still could've beat it.

save money each month, by the time something breaks, you have saved enough for repairs in most cases. instead of giving dealer upfront money that the insurer may or may not fight you on WARRANTY..jmho..

Google GMPP Online. There used to be a couple of websites through GM dealers that would give online quotes, but those seem to have disappeared. I purchased mine through www.gmoutlet.com or James Black and there is DEFINITELY a difference in pricing from what your local dealer will quote you, many times to the tune of $500 to $1000 difference.

FWIW - I had a 2009 Buick Enclave, which I had in the shop more times than it had oil changes. At the end of the three years in which I only had 29000 miles on, I was not comfortable driving it without a warranty. The truck was in the shop over 25 times during the time i owned it. NO, I do not destroy my cars.
I looked at the GM warranty, but i was quoted roughly 3200.00 and also would have to incur a $100.00 deductible per incident. This would have covered the Truck up to 70,000 miles or an additional 3 years. Bumper to bumper. I went to my credit union, which offered extended warranties through route66warranty.com. I paid $1800.00 up front, and no deductibles over the next number of years. This would have covered the Truck up to 80,000 miles or an additional 5 years. Bumper to bumper. The only think this warrantee did not pay for was the taxes on parts and a couple of exterior trim parts which failed. Over the next 2 years, I had to use the warranty probably 5 more times on major issues. Possibly look at Route66warranty. Worked ok for me.
