I haven't had the time to properly weight it, I will try to post the actual weight as soon as I can. Feels a little lighter than stock. Will have to weight it to find out. I just got home back from work, I'm tired as hell. So it won't be tonight, sorry. I will post complete pics of the intake the day of the install, before and after. By the way the intake duct or tube is smooth on the inside, the waffle pattern is not found inside.

I didn't weigh them, but just by feel when holding them, they felt pretty similar in weight. The intake tubes felt very similar, but the Z/28 intake box felt lighter, which would make sense, since it has so much less material. I can't weigh them now, since it's installed, or should I say, I don't want to take it off again.

It was a very easy install though. I can post my pics shortly.

My stock tube is made out of hard plastic, my Z28 intake tube is made out of a softer material and is lighter. True, the air box seems lighter than stock.

You're right, I just looked again, and the Z/28 tube is rubber.

Here's some pics I just took. I tried to get a couple of different angles too.

You can see how the catch can tube looks just using the kit pieces. I'm definitely going to clean it up a bit soon, but for now, it works.

Nice. Looks good, what was your initial impression upon starting her up, and driving?

That intake looks so beastly. I love the gridwork on the tube going into the TB.

Yeah, the whole thing looks sick, and it's just massive inside that engine bay.

@CreeperRS
Honestly, upon startup, not a huge difference, at least in sound. I can hear the air sucking in though, which is cool, and the engine sounds just a little bit smoother, like I can just tell it's breathing better. You'll definitely notice a difference in response, from a full stop up to speed, particularly as the engine revs rise, which also improves the sound. The car actually feels just a little bit lighter, and just wants to go fast even more so than before.

And just to put my thoughts into perspective, my 1LE is entirely stock performance-wise, with the dual-mode exhaust.

That awesome, just want I wanted to know. Thanks. By the way my Camaro has the same options as you. I'm eager to get this installed. Can't wait. I want to share a pic, since I live in California I guess they have to play the legal dance.

Sounds like you have a nice car...

Yeah, mine had the same label. It's one reason I'm glad I don't live over there... Although I hear Highway 1 is an awesome drive!

At $400+, I'm surprised the intake kit isn't made in North America. May pick this up if it gives a slight boost in performance, like the CAI-brand intake.

I believe only the upper sealing gasket is the only part made in China, everything else says made in USA.
