First Mod: CAI or Front Splitter?
Hello Everyone, I only have a tight budget and I was wondering which one should I buy first, CAI or Front Splitter for Camaro SS 18? I kinda wished they could have include the front splitter when I purchased the car.

I did a splitter first because a CAI is really a waste of money because the stock one flows so well. I ended up doing a Cold Air Inductions cai later only for the looks.

Hindsight. I'd get rock guards before ever driving. Ordered some today. Don't know I'd yours is as bad as a 1LE.

I would go for the exterior mods first before I go to the internals.

I purchased the color matched GM splash guards as my first mod because I HATE rock chips! The install was reasonably easy and they've saved my paint.

Depends if you want to add HP or style first. Both are good starting point for either way you go. We also have great pricing for either one you choose .

I don't even put my tow hook in when I'm on the track... If I need it it only takes a couple seconds to screw in anyways. Agree on the looking cheesy part.

I leave it in place on my 18 Camaro because it’s just easier and I like how the red matches my brakes. Plus RACECAR |

OP, what are you doing with your car? Do you plan on doing any autox or track days? If so, then spend your money on EXPERIENCE. It will yield the most benefits.
After that, the first modification to the car should always be TIRES. Our cars have enough power to spin tires anywhere below 40mph. And the aero on our cars keeps them planted up to 160 at least. Old rule of racing - other mods are worthless if you can't get power to the road. And, without good tires, you won't be able to do that. I'd recommend Potenza Re-71R tires. About the best grip you can buy for the street. It's what most of the SCCA guys are running in the "street tire" classes. |

Which splitter would you get? There are a lot of them to choose from. Did you put your 2 small air diverters on?
