Rear Diff Fluid Change

How often are you guys changing the rear diff fluid? I changed it before the first time I went and then did about 6 events over a year and changed it again and did another 5 events and some autocross before this january. Wondering if I should go longer than a year or keep this pace.

Thanks
Doug

Same question. High Performance supplement says that changing diff oil is needed after every track day. Seems like an overkill to me.

I believe the high performance supplement used to say to change the rear diff fluid every 24 hours. Then I believe it was subsequently changed to every 15 track hours. The 2021 or 2022 HPS then stopped mentioning an interval. But most of us here who track change it every 15 hours, along with the M6 trans fluid at the same interval.

But changing the rear diff fluid after every event would be insane. Now, you may be confusing the part of the HPS that says to change the rear diff fluid after your 1st track event. This is correct to do because it's the first time you are really using rear diff a lot, so there will be more debris in the fluid.

I change manual trans fluid and rear axle fluid before each track season starts, so once a year for both.

Another vote for once a year.

I do diff fluid, trans fluid & brake flush (Castrol SRF) before the season. I'll usually do another brake flush halfway through the season. I shoot for an oil change after every event, but once in a while I'll do two events before changing.

My HPDE season is March - October typically, sometimes a November event.

Autocross and track days are both really hard on the diff fluid and clutches, but changing after every event is over the top. I do both activities enough that I just change it every time I change the motor oil and filter. It's not that hard or expensive to do.

every 24 hours is what the manual calls for, that's when I do mine.
