Don't see it happening. even if you don't tune for power it may affect the MAF sensor so the tune would have to be adjusted to count for that.

I ran a few boosted cars and correct me if I'm wrong but your MAF- mass air flow sensor, calibrates the air flow, and the IAT- intake air temp sensor (which I'm not sure if my ZL1 has I haven't looked under the hood close enough yet since I haven't started modding) together will adjust fuel curve?

I know my a/f ratios have NOT CHANGED barely at all when I dyno'd and monitored past projects!!

I don't own a shop, so I don't tune and see parameters on different vehicales every day but I had no knock and timing was always still safe after any bolt ons to improve airflow!

Pulley, or anything in that range yea tune makes complete sence,

And yes I understand there is more power to be had when you do tune, cause most stock vehicales run pig rich!!

ANDY I'll be ordering one of these like umm now, pm me price up to Canada, if it's to much I'll have to wait until I can buy more and ship it all at once instead of paying my left "testical" in shipping!

Oh and before I forget, what's the diff between your race and street version, have a pic of each by chance?

Thanks mang!

We tested this intake and you 100% need a tune. Air-fuel is off the charts lean with this and the stock tune. We do have tunes available for this intake already

Approx. 40-50RWHP with this setup, add a throttle body and you are making huge power without touching the snout or pulley

I believe it! I just replaced the stock air filter with a K&N and it drove a sensor nuts = check engine light on. It cleared itself out today but the reading was that the front O2 sensor was seeing emission problems...

I have been running a K&N for weeks now with no lights and no issues.

We tested them as well with not so good results on the dyno as compared to stock.

Have you been on a dyno to see if you gained,Im going to say you did not based on our data.

Andy, how does this compare to the Halltech Stinger in the GMHTP article "ZL1 in Sheeps clothing article". Is the tune different on the Z than the V?

Thanks

Were you able to find out and could you please post the # gains? I'm very interested in the one without a tune.
Thanks!
