Hurst Shifter no longer orderable.

I just ordered a 2SS with the performance shifter instead of the Hurst Short Throw.
The order guide indicates that in so doing, it deletes the leather wrapped steering wheel.
Does anybody know for sure what steering wheel GM will use now...(I know the performance shifter, option code KTU is the same as what's in the 1LE package, will the wheel be the same too...in other words, will I get the flat bottom steering wheel too?

From what I understand, the steering wheel will remain the same. Leather wrapped. The shifter will be the same shifter as the ZL1 and 1LE but will be the leather wrapped version.

The aftermarket Hurst is better and cheaper than the factory Hurst.

I believe we get the flat bottomed wheel, and if I am not mistaken wrapped in suede just like the ZL1 or the 1LE options. But I am not 100% sure on the suede. It would make sense to me since they "delete the leather wrapped steering wheel" when you pick that option.

So has anybody who has a 2013 who ordered the "performance shifter" confirm what they have? My dealer has no idea what it is, and I ordered it...so just wondering what it actually gives us!

Strange. I ordered a SS2 vert yesterday and the Hurst was still showing in the GM system as an option (I did not order, though).

Do yourself a favor and order an mgw. The discontinued hurst is the best thing that happened to me as I went in search of an alternative and the mgw shifts like butter and the throw is short

Did you also try the hurst?
I looked at the mgw online but I don't like the look of the shifter

The performance shifter is the same shifter on the 1LE and ZL1. GM is cutting down on the number of different parts to stock when they already have a good shifter on the ZL1.

Not sure what the look you are referring to? You can use the stock boot and handle so no one would know you even changed the shifter. It shift like butter so I am thrilled with the mgw the build quality is outstanding. Do a search and seen if you can find one unsatisfied mgw owner. The hurst was ok but not in the same league as the mgw IMHO.
