Good info Hoss....I'll take a look at that configuration this week and see if that is my problem.

All I know is this, my NOWEEDS is not the culprit per the lazy mechanic at the dealership. I took it out of the loop this weekend and my seat still won't heat up.

Sometimes sliding the seat back and forth makes it work.
That's weird. The defroster on my 02 does a similar thing...

My heated seats worked twice in June and July. I noticed the heater wasn't working at the first freeze in Nov. the dealer found the trouble and made a temp fix...but said it could go out anytime.

The fuse block took about a week to come in and be installed.

Brought the car in this morning and picked it up a couple hours ago. Apparently that fixed it. Time will tell for sure. Not sure what harness they changed though. My paperwork was not done when I picked up the car cause they were closing. They said they would mail it to me. Maybe there will be a clue on it as to what they did exactly. The tech also left a nice pair of plyers on the floor in the back. I am going to drop them off tomorrow for him. Ill see if I can get some better info.

That sucks! Isn't that how it always goes?! After reading about the harness, I tracked down the heated seat control module (under the driver's seat) and made sure that all of the wiring harnesses were snug at the module. Mine's worked ever since (knock on wood).

Please update us when you finally get the real fix. Perhaps you should suggest the fuse block repair that worked for Hoss?

If im not mistaken I think Hoss's seats were both not working, mine is only the drivers. The dealer ordered the seat elements today so well see if that does it when they come in.

Update:

After trip #4 to the dealer and having the heat module replaced and today the thermostat replaced, still no joy. They are stumped and I will have to take it back a fifth time. I told them the next time to give me another fast car and keep the Camaro till it's resolved. I'm really getting over this real fast ... Still no dang heat in passenger seat ...

Bummer. Mine's still working after seating the harnesses at the module. Knock on wood. Something tells me that it won't be that easy and they will stop working again. Please update us all when you finally get it fixed. Thanks for suffering through the pain for all of us!

Update:

Dropped car off this morning for trip #5 for the same problem. This time I told them to keep it till it's fixed. They gave me an Impala as a loner, thing is like driving a fish bowl compared to my SS ... Hopefully this time it will get fixed ... They also gave me the 5 year oil change package to help ease my (pissed offness) ... LOL....

Too be continued ... I'll update again when I get the car back ...

WOOT !!! Let there be heat ...

The wiring harness was bad from the drivers seat module to the passenger seat ... Took five trips and a number of calls to GM support, but they finally got it done ...
