Sorry to hear that this happened - I guess it is fair to say that you won't be back out to the track in a while. I will be checking in to see how things turn out.

This is why insurance is so high on these. People f*ck up their cars and claim it was an "accident". Funny how accidents happen in sports cars like that...
Any way, good luck with it, I feel for you. |

Whoops!
Looks like you'll need to practice a bit more once you've got it fixed. I'd recommend some less sticky tires next time. Sometimes I think it'd be cool to try drifting/powersliding but then I think about what could go wrong and say f-that...I don't want to pay to fix it if I screw up. So, I'll just stick to Youtube and watching others have some fun...

Car hasn't been put up on hoist yet, but the estimate was over $3500 for just the parts needed on the rear end. The cradle in the back is tweaked, and I guess it's not cheap. Also I noticed before unloading the car off the trailer that the front fender got pushed up into the hood a bit, body guy says it just needs to be readjusted. Now just gotta wait for Progressive to get out and do an estimate to see what the total damage is.

Forget the cost of broken suspension parts when it goes wrong...tires for this have got to get expensive after a while... . . . ...See Big Brunsy...you just need a bit more practice...you'll get it right eventually.

Included in the estimate is 2 new wheels and tires, and repainting the hood and fender because the fender rolled up into the hood and made a tiny mark on the inside wall of the hood/fender.
I don't need the wheels or tires as I already had spares. Not getting the hood/fender repainted; just touched up and recleared. Should have enough money left over from the not so needed repairs to either get stripes painted on, or get Ground FX....decisions decisions |
