Valid point, just my personal preference. I'd go test drive one if you haven't already. I wouldn't mind having one as a second vehicle, I just enjoy the aesthetics of the Camaro way too much to not own one.

As for looks they are subjective. Some people hate the look of the Camaro and love the look of the FRS, but that shouldn't matter since you buy what you like not what others like. FR-s is lacking on HP/TQ but it is light so I'm sure that some mods will make up for it really quick. |

I have to agree with OP. I am in the process of picking a car, and it is really up in the air between the Camaro & the FR-S (specifically the FRS, not the BRZ. If you want to know why, PM).
After test driving both, the power difference is huge. But so is the aesthetic & the handling. The FRS has far superior handling to the camaro, and an amazing connection it gives the drive to the road, but is disappointing when you come around that corner fast and can't do anything except go *putt putt* until you reach cruising speed. The camaro on the other hand, is disappointing because you feel limited by the car - that you can do more than the car is capable of. At this point, I think I will go Camaro for two reasons. I am too young to fully appreciate the value of FRS; it is a refined, drivers car. Not a fun machine. Also, because the Camaro offers more luxury and out-of-the-box power, which is nice as I do not intend to mod. (except maybe a CAI, a couple bolt ons, upholstery work, a wide body kit, wheels, tires, ect...) |

Nothing wrong with that! I know there's a couple different cars I'd love to have, but probably won't ever get. Like the new VW Beetle or the Mini. Maybe someday when I can afford two vehicles.

Wait for the new mazda MX-5 to come out. The BRZ has the smallest back seat ever made.. If your so concerned with handling get a 2 seater. 5 years from now we will look back on the BRZ as the car that always needed more power or they will come out with a STI version and your resale is screwed. If I were you I would wait it out. 2 years from now people will be selling the BRZ's like crazy because it's not the new cool look. (I think it looks great btw).

I don't think there is much modding potential with 2.x liter engine unless you go turbo. If you want a second driving ride I'd recommend a c5 corvette or e46 m3, both can be had for 15k and destroy the brz

I tried test driving one when they first came out. I don't fit sadly. Between a v6 Camaro and it, I'd say Camaro just from friends' experiences with them. Also, read reviews all say car is missing something to make it great. Wait for the sti version if just want one so bad. Sounds like to me you've already made your decision, but haven't test driven one yet? Not a good way to make car purchases. What are you looking for exactly? Because to make those cars fun and awesome requires A LOT of money and time. I'd look at c5 Corvette, Pontiac GTO, Hyundai Genesis (horrible resale value), or Mini Cooper just to name a few.
