Sad story from my local news this morning. I hope it was not a C5 member. I'm not sure how you get 5 people in a Camaro in the first place, maybe that contributed to the accident.

wow, that's terrible. That car is completely destroyed, and yeah I have no idea what they were doing with 5 people in there.

I've stuffed 5 into my Camaro before, 3 people being over 6'. Wasnt fun, but turned out alot better than this :(

The only thing that still resembles a Camaro are the rims and the mufflers.

very sad. If they were young, they probably gunned it and tried to get over onto I-40 and hit the back of the semi, but whatever happened, it's just sad to see that much loss of life from a car accident.

Yea looks like driver might have misjudged the distance and timing for merging onto the interstate between the camaro and the semi. Very sad....being a Thursday night, I am wondering if they were out at the bars as well and the driver being a intoxicated?

I have stuffed 4 girls in my car before, all being shorter than me, and we managed fine. Our trip turned out better than this obviously.

What a tragedy and horrible way to go. As safe as these cars are, they still have the potential to be very dangerous under certain conditions. Prayers go out to the families and loved ones.
