LOL, good question. Since JBA shorties seem to make good power on just about everything I've seen them on, I went ahead and took a chance, lol.
I just watched the BBK vid about the LT headers that they are going to make for the v6. On their dyno pull, the car barely reached 70mph before it redlined. I wonder what gear they did their pull in? I made mine in 4th, got it to hit the limiter, 155mph. Wonder if doing the pull in 3rd would change things?

TJ..I have set a goal of 300rwhp and 300lbft of torque at the ground, naturally aspirated, if possible. If I can't get those numbers with axleback, shorties, intake and a tune, then I'm going balls out and getting a STS turbo sytem and tune!! Then I'm shooting for the stars, lol, 300rwhp be damned!
Seriously, I want 300^2 as I've come to call my goal. I would like to do it NA, as it would make for a sick, streetable car. Of course, n2o has been entertained as well. I think the 300^2 is reachable, the tuner is going to be the big question.

I want to order the JBAs but wasn't really wanting to install them myself. Most things I will do myself but these I would probably want to have an exaust shop do. So I went to my most repuatble local exhaust shop, the only one i will let touch my cars and he said he won't install them. He said it gets in to way too much work and he will not attempt them on new cars. So I either have to go out of town for my install or try it myself.

to have these installed, do u just remove the old ones then add these, or do u have to order other parts as well?

I always use new gaskets but I don't know for sure if they come with the kit or not. That should be it.....

Cool man, thanks for the info. I will prolly just do it myself. I usually take on stuff like that but thought this might be tough. I plan on doing my own lowering so I should be able to handle this.

Just make sure you have anti-seize and and a torque wrench handy (aluminum heads) and you'll do fine.

If they dont come with gaskets you should be able to reuse the factory gasket. You will usually find out that most Performance Shops will reuse the stock gasteks before they use the gaskets that actually come with the header kits. The factory ones are usually steel gaskets and seal very well. Yes even though they have been used you will find them to still seal very well. Alot of aftermarket Header companies will send out gaskets with their headers, but they are usually a material type gasket that will harden a leak over time. The factory ones are usually the best because the Auto Manufacture can afford to tool up for a quailty gasket that is made to last.
