Who's staggering the wheels ??

What I mean is, who is going to put a larger wheel in the rear and a smaller up front ?? I am seriously thinking of doing the same exact as the concept (hopefully will be able to get concept wheels ) 22 in the rear and 21 up front ....Any pros or cons to this ??? anyone else thinking of doing the same ???

The obvious negative is that the additional size will only serve to weigh down and slow down the car. As a positive, the Camaro will more closely resemble the concept. Performance will still be impressive, and I'm guessing that you wouldn't make the Camaro a track beast with bigger rims, so I can't imagine it ruining the feel or look of the car.

The rear wheels are wider than the front wheels out of the factory. You may want to keep this in mind when picking rims.

I don't think it will be possible that easy. The Stabilitrak will flip out if you can't adjust wheel sizes in your car config...
Even installing brand new tires in the rear while having old ones in the front can mess up your cornering.

as long as you keep the overall wheel height the same, you shouldnt have too much of a problem as far as handling is concerned.

Interesting.

Can you clarify why?

I'm also curious as to why. I understand new tires, slightly larger diameter, slightly lower wheel RPM. But if Stabilitrak is that sensitive, wouldn't it also flip out if your tires don't wear evenly?

if the tires don't wear even...you're doing something wrong.

ABS traction control etc, is very sensitive to tire variation. It has to be to work.

In a high hp car it will save COUNTLESS lives every day.

No stagger for you without reprograming the PCM...

I was thinking of doing the same with mine, but I'll be using smaller wheels: 20 out back, 18 up front... I would use 19 up front but AR doesn't make 19" Torq-Thrust M's.

you arent going to have a lot of room to add the extra tire height so 21s and 22s will look funny and probably rub with the same amount of sidewall unless your using rubberbands

the only thing is that when you find the wheels you really like they probably wont come in 21s... there are some out there but most companies stick to even #s

well no so much 17s since a lot of ricers put 17s or 18s on, but all the wheels I have been looking at (which is a lot lol) come in 20s, 22s, 24s, etc. I am just going to get different width tires, wide up front and even wider in the rear

I'm planning on going the same all the way around. 18 x 7.5 is the stock size, and I'll stay with that for a while, but eventually (when its no longer my DD) I'll probably have the wheels widened to 8.5 or 9 inches all around.
