ABL plug/wiring in LT non-RS - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Is there an ambient lighting plug/wire in the driver and passenger door already if I have an LT witout the RS package? I want to add some puddle lights to the bottom of the door panel, so I was hoping the wires would already be there for me just to make it that much easier. Does all of that ambient lighting stuff even turn on when you open the doors? or only when you turn the car on?

Yes all models have them in the door, But there dead, You need to take to dealer to get them to program the BCM for it to work.

The ABL is NOT part of the RS Package, it is a Standard Feature on all 2LT's and 2SS's.

So if I get them activated thru the bcm, when do they turn on exactly? Opening door, dome light switch, etc?
