Molded Splash Guards

Has any one see a picture of the Camaro with molded splash guards? I noticed is is an option... I am not sure the cost. All of the cars I have purchased over the years off of the lot have had splash guards. They have always looked good so I assume they would look good on the Camaro as well. Has anyone requested this on their orders? I don't remember being asked if I wanted them.

I guess they would look fine, haven't really noticed.

They are listed as an over the counter item.

I don't think any of us have seen 'em on a Camaro yet, but am confident they will look very nice. They are one of the extras that I do believe I'll add to my SS when they become available.

After my experience with my Prelude, I don't think I could go the route of splash guards again. The ones on the Prelude are molded rubber that follow the contours of the fenders. What nobody tells you is that over time, since these are in direct contact with the paint of the car, any flash left over from the molding process can leave an imprint in the paint, and, in my case, remove it down to the primer as the flash slowly etches its way down. At this point I can never take them off without repainting four fenders.

Just be advised that this could be a potential future problem, and make sure to scope out how they are going to be attached to the Camaro. Depending on how GM has engineered it, it may not be an issue at all, but just giving my $0.02 .

edog has it on his IOM Camaro, search for his posts. And yeah the Molded Splash guards were first called Quarter Flares but everyone now knows they are fancy rock/salt blockers.

I'm getting them on my Black Camaro but can't post pics until I get my car. :(

Found edog's and another Camaro.

I ordered via GM Parts Direct http://www.gmpartsdirect.com - the list price is $199, their price $144.87 though shipping was steep at ~ #30 - still cheaper than OTC plus local tax. They're on national backorder per an email I got this morning - I assume due to GM restructuring.
