Window Motor
So I've got to replace the drivers side window motor in my Z28. Does anyone know of a good place to get an OEM motor with warranty? Advance Auto and Auto Zone both have motors for $50 - $60, are these any good and which ones are better?
Thanks |

I bought the one from Auto Zone, installed myself with no problems.

Go to O'Reilly's and ask for the new A-1. This is a new product with lifetime warr.

I'd like to suggest you replace both too.
Based on what I've seen in the past, it's only a matter of time before the other one fails. :( |

and if you've never changed a window motor.... http://shbox.com/page/windowmotor.html and for adjusting it... http://shbox.com/1/adj_window.html as for buying one. just about anywhere is fine, make sure its got a lifetime warranty tho. and preferably somewhere you dont have to get it shipped from so you can go direct to them if you have an issue

Yea I prefer to buy things local just for that reason but I live in a really small town and my only three choices are Advance, Auto Zone and NAPA. The closest Pepboys and O'Reilly's is over 100 miles one way. |
