Who's talking smack? Ford and Dodge people?

I think it's awesome to see a V6 with that much power, especially since it gets 27mpg on the highway.

I wouldn't worry about the haters too much...

it's mainly just the die-hard, V8-or-nothing people who are doing it. and only the ignorant ones, at that.

as always, the V6 is gonna be the model that keeps profits in the green, just as it is with the mustangs (only this V6 packs a punch).

kudos to everybody getting a V6 & keeping our car alive!

Some people wouldn't get anything but a V8 in ANYTHING.
There are lots of V8's that don't have that much hp.

Get what makes you happy.

I have no problem with a V6. To each their own. I ordered a V8, but anyone who owns a 5th gen is alright in my books.

I hope this helps...My 1978 Z28 had 185 HP from the factory brand new...Different times...Now to today....300 plus hp from a V-6 is a great thing...Chevy needs those numbers to keep the V-8's coming down the assembly line...

Not me dude, I'm very impressed by the V6. But I gotta have my V8. Gotta have the rumble.

God I hate this. It's obviously not adequate enough for the v8 people and that's why there's concern.

If the V6 had 426 hp and the SS had say, 470, people would still say, "well the v6 is impressive but I gotta have that v8".

Yeah, I totally believe this. It's so true. "But but but, this is a V8! Much better. V6 is for pussies!":bangdesk:

I wish everybody would get the V6 around here... I personaly am one of "those people" that wont have anything but a V8 in anything but the 304hp V6 is a great choice for the 5th gen. The 4th gen on the other hand, the 6 was a joke. I think the only reason most people look down on the 6 is because 90% of the time the people who drive the CURRENT V6 sports cars are school girls.
