We really haven't had the best of luck with weather the last couple of years in the middle of June, it's been rainy and cold, what would the group think of later in June (22) or the first weekend in July? It would be nice to drive with the sunroof open or top down on the cars for a change.

Check the weather stats at www.weathernetwork.com, end of June/July looks better weather wise. Just my two cents.

Side note from this thread, glad to see other Camaro owners driving in winter. I drove mine two winters, everyone I talked too was convinced they would be horrible on winter roads.

I can only do the first or second weekend.

Also, I will be talking to the GM dealership in Rocky, to see if they want to co-ordinate something wwith us.

Cant wait for the cruise this summer but it's rained the last 2 years in a row and it would be nice to have sunshine and warm weather for the cruise (tops down ,sunroofs open ,stereos cranked, mullets blowing in the wind )we only do this once a year .would it be a good idea since cruise is still 6 months away to see what everybody else that is interested in attending thinks about the best date for cruise?A majority of the people that attended last year haven't even replied to thread and the bigger the pack of camaros the better.

Yes, the rain sure seems to put a damper on things. And I personally hate the rain.

Wonder if maybe we should shoot for July instead?

Should be hotter weather for more

Just tossing it out there...

July works too as the Alberta/ BC cruise will probably be in August.

Seems to me 68 RS has put a lot of time and effort into organizing this event now for the 4th year...always on fathers day weekend. The first year was sunny, the second year rained, and last year was a mix of sun and rain. This cruise goes into the mountains it is extremely difficult to predict the weather anytime of year.
I does bother me that 3 people that spend a lot of time together all make the same post to make it seem like a whole bunch of people are not happy with the June weekend.
Part of the reason I'm sure there has not been a lot of replys to this thread yet might have something to do with me not sending out a PM to everyone that has been involved in a Alberta Cruise before. I normally do this just a bit later...a lot of people do not spend the time on C5 that some of us do

I don't predict the weather. Everyday is a crap shoot in Alberta. Rain, Snow, Sleet, Hail, Sunshine, if you don't like the weather in Alberta just wait 5 minutes. LOL

Last Wednesday it was warmer in Edmonton than it was in Phoenix and Las Vegas, at plus 10, by Saturday we were freezing our butts off at minus 23.

I'm all for global warming. LOL
