Stock ZL1 Standing Mile

I don't think this is a repost. I've searched on here and on google and can't find an answer. What does the ZL1 trap in the standing mile in stock form? I'm guessing around the 160 mark since that's what a stock CTS-V did at the salt flats.

yeah proabably about right. seemed about 10mph off my Z06 stock there is the stretch of road I ways screw around on and I could get to about 160 in my Z06 and about 150 in my Zl1

I think z06's do ~170.

the car stock felt real similar to my c6 corvette in power and they do 150's. I think it was a tick stronger up at speed but not much.

I am sure the window would be like 150-160ish depending on factors.

It doesn't seem like anybody actually ran this car at the mile in stock form. I can't find an official trap speed anywhere. 160+ would be very impressive to me.

honeslty I would have never ran this car stock ha ha. too easy to mod if your going down there why not try for 170-180.

if I booked a trip down there I would add more power than I have not for sure.

the gearing on this car is just a tick off IMO for the standing mile. 2013-2014 Gt500 or modified z06 just are geared better hands down.

I think you could easily do in the high 180's or low 190's with either of those platformes. my buddies heads cam Z06 I hit like 160 by accident ha ha. I have never done that in my zl1. I have been over 160 but it was on purpose for sure.

Z06. It feels exactly like an accident. You are just railing through the gears and, POW, heads up disp says 160, 170, 180.
Had a rolling second gear romp against a challenging sport bike, he quit around 150, when his light were fa behind me, I looked at speed and could have sworn I saw 184. Just snuck up on me. ( but I must have been mistaken, because I do not speed, and it was probably only 65mph)

With our ZL1, it pull great to about 145 and then you feel the loss in accell g forces, end up looking at speed around 140

Yeah, the same is true for the new C7. I think it's a combination of power and gearing.

And, really well engineered Aerodynamics!
After about 155, frontal area and drag become the biggest limiting factors to acceleration and top speed. There are many car with less power that have high top speeds due to aero. With the ZL1, we are gifted with the face of a brick. not the best aero, so GM just powered that brick through the air with tons of torque.
