This would be a great time for a private seller to sell a like new, used Camaro since you can't get one from a dealer currently...supply and demand.

FINALLY a GM recall that will actually HELP me. Those windows have needed a penis sensor for YEARS now.

Putting them together hardly makes any more sense than requiring you to keep both keys on the same ring when you're the car's only driver.

So I just purchased a 2014 2SS/RS, and of course couldnt even take it home. Needless to say I was pretty bummed.

Is there any news on when they will get the Recall worked out? He told me a around a week. That was Tuesday.

I was hoping the resident GM rep here on the forums could shine some light on a time frame for all of the prospective new car buyers. The silence is deafening.

Never. Literally never. And I imagine when the fob battery dies, I'll just go grab the spare key!

I used the key slot in the back seat once to open the trunk. For some reason neither the fob or button in the door would open it. After that it returned to normal don't know what was up with that. Gotta keep your old fob just for that reason.

Because when you don't have an answer, you say nothing, GM's new policy. That way you're not ill advising. Takes time to have the "fixes" ready for Millions of cars, the camaro's are at a half million+. That's a lot of new keys to make, just hope they don't switch them on you whether or not you want it. Bring the car in for an oil change and then they hand you the new cheap crappy key.

It's also going to take time to rekindle consumer confidence when you can't provide concise information to prospective buyers when your game plan is ill defined. One would think that since GM has been aware of this potential issue for more than a year, during it's other ignition failure investigation, that keys would have been in the making instead of a knee jerk recall prompting a stop sale and handling the fix later.

You know you don't deserve a Camaro when you lock your keys in the car with the top down and you call OnStar to unlock it.
