New separate keys?

Has anyone, that picked up their Camaro after the recall, purchased a blank key fob and got it cut and programed? It should work. I'm gonna try it with my girlfriends Camaro. I already purchased a blank fob off ebay for my Camaro so I'm gonna get it cut at a shop and program it. Then no need for the post recall key set up.

Just did this today for my 1LE. I also bought new blank blades to put in the de-bladed key fobs. Got the blanks cut and now everything works as it was designed.

That's a great idea also. Might as well make use of the key fob

Off eBay. Make sure you also get the roll pins which will be required to fasten the blades to the key fob.

There is a lot of vendors on ebay selling them. I asked two separate sellers if it comes with the roll pin to secure the blade, so I'm waiting for answers before I pull the trigger.
