Lingenfelter Heavy Duty 241 MM 2010 Camaro SS Cast Aluminum Differential Assembly

This is a picture of one of the new cast aluminum heavy duty Camaro SS differential assemblies that will soon be for sale from Lingenfelter Performance Engineering. These units are production built by American Axle who is the OE supplier to GM for the factory Camaro differentials. We expect to have the first run of cast differentials later this month. The Lingenfelter LS9 powered Camaro SS that recently ran 8.997 in the 1/4 mile was running the prototype billet aluminum 241 MM differential assembly. Stay tuned for more details and pictures of the production cast aluminum differential. Click here for more information

From the OE manufacturer 3.42, 3.73, 4.10 and 4.56, there is also a 3.90 from the aftermarket I believe.

Tim will OEM styled drive shaft and axles work?

What are the significant differences in your unit versus a modified OEM unit?

Can you explain in detail and show us some photos on the inside?

Expected MSRP?

Thanks

Lingenfelter Heavy Duty 241 MM 2010 Camaro SS Cast Aluminum Differential Assembly

The new Lingenfelter Cast Aluminum Camaro SS differential kit will include a heavy duty driveshaft assembly and heavy duty axles. Shown here is a prototype set of axles from the Driveshaft Shop and our prototype driveshaft assembly. The LPE driveshaft weighs 29 lbs vs the stock driveshaft at 24 lbs. The stock axles and driveshaft is not compatible with this differential.

The Lingenfelter differential can be installed in a V6 Camaro but it would require a slightly different driveshaft from what the V8 kit uses.

More information and pictures coming soon.

Do you have a ballpark figure of what this setup will cost?

Tim that center bearing set up looks awesome and stout. So what made Lingenfelter go this route on tooling this complete conversion versus whats out on the market already? Are you using larger bearings for the posi and different styled clutch packs?

Yes please post more technical information for us to review along with expected MSRP

looks badass and expensive....

A friend told me the price is gonna be somewhere around 7500.... to be competitive with the 9" conversions....

what size ring gear is in the assembly?
