New Tire question? Need Suggestions Please

Getting ready to replace the stock Pirellis on my 2010 SS. I have the stock rims but am looking to go up a couple sizes on the rear, probably 295. What are you guys (and girls) running? Sizes, brands, etc.

My car does have the BMR split lowering springs. 1.4'' drop in the front and 1'' on the rear.

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks...

To keep the front and rear tires the same diameter you need to run 275/40/20 front and 315/35/20 rear. A 295/35/20 is .7" shorter. Your computer will start throwing codes due to that much difference in front and rear tires.

If you plan on using the stock rim, stay with stock sizes.

I have 295/40/20 toyo proxi on my stock rears... they definitly look better and they fit the stock wheel just fine. They are a tad taller a little over 29" tall from stock 28.7 but its not very noticable and does not set any codes off! Do it, your fine.
