Review on msnbc.com -Camaro best of the new Pony Cars
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/29978094/
Considering this background, Chevrolet’s Camaro is poised for success because it’s both a stunning recollection of the ’69 Camaro and because it’s a fantastic car for driving enthusiasts. GM cut no corners in producing the Camaro, making it the most successful of the neo-classic pony cars so far. Now, if we only had drive-ins with car hops

Wow, nice article. I even love the quip he made about the financial guy that balked at the Camaro even having a point in today's market.
Yeah, the point? To go fast and to save gas. Looks like the greenies are having buyers remorse for their 2hp Priuses. |

We have two Sonic's where I live, not sure I'd be taking the new ride there though. The lanes are a little narrow and the 'hops' have to almost rub up against the car to give you your food.
I was pleasantly surprised to see that write-up on a national news outlet. Almost expected them to bash it, glad they didn't.

Our Sonic's have WIDE lanes, I think it's cause of the snow birds.

I really would love to have a Camaro, but w/ the current economic and managerial issues that are going on now with GM, it's suspended my wanting to order the car. The Camaro is and seems to be superior in all aspects of price-performance ratio, style, comfort, power, compared to the Mustang and Challenger, so I haven't been looking into those TOO hard. I have faith in the Camaro, but I wish I had more faith in the corporate business division of GM.

That also figured into my decision. If GM comes out intact, I'll have a warranty AND a smokin' car. If GM bites the bullet and fails, I'll have a collectors item that would have hopefully given me many years of driving enjoyment. Either way, I'm very happy to get my order in.
