WHICH CAI TO CHOOSE?

I have a 2011 LLT and I am choosing between a used spectre cai for $90 or a brand new g5cr intake for $140.

What would be the best option for the money and which ones offers the better performance.

id go with a CAI inc or ADM...but the real question is what do you want out of it? looks? or performance? you'll get all kinds of opinions here. personally i would not touch either one. but thats just me...imo splurge and get something else

best thing you can do is SEARCH the forums and form your own opinion

Save your money. Neither of those systems are very good.

Filter media means a lot also, for the life of your engine.

your going to notice better torque and hp no matter what...the stock air box is terrible....but i would save my money for someting better ...either that or upgrade it later and spend your money twice....i made the same mistake with my K&N

I started off with a K&N intake as my first mod, not knowing very much about Camaros and what else was out there. Since my car was stock I felt a decent gain and was happy, for awhile. After putting long tube headers, tune, the Ice-Olator and Ported Throttle Body the Vararam caught my eye. Even after having all those I mods I felt a bigger difference with the Vararam than with the K&N. Now that I have nitrous installed the Vararam will no longer fit for me so I have a Injen Power Flow coming through the mail so I'll see how this goes.

I went with the Injen Long Tube for true cold air intake.

INJEN long tube is what I bought 4 years ago, based on the following info at the time. At the time shipped to the house for $273. There are some used ones for sale every now and then in the for sale section of the forums. Besides, then you can paint it and create a unique engine bay.

After installation Chase, I was very pleased with the increase in TORQUE and HP. Now if you're saying this system is not very good, what system would be a huge difference in your viewpoint?

Also if you work for Apex, will the Technostalgia tail lights ever go down in price?
Did you do a before and after dyno to verify your increased HP/TQ with the Spectre.... or you going by manufacturer's claim or your butt dyno???

CAIs have a very strong placebo effect...
