It's really too bad GM doesn't participate in aafes's program. I would guess we'd get a better deal than we'll get when the Camaro comes out.
Also, the rules of the GM program state any dealer can deny you the discount. So, speak to your dealer beforehand if you want to use a military discount. |

I love how those discounts only apply to active duty. Here I am on month 7 of a year deployment, but I guess a guardsman's service isn't worth as much in GM's eyes.

the discount is open to active duty, reserve, and guards I believe. As long as you're in the military is osme fashion youre good to go.

straight from the website:
If you are an eligible member of the military, which includes active duty members and Reserves of the U.S. Air Force, Army, Navy, Marines, National Guard and Coast Guard, then you are qualified to receive military pricing on GM vehicles through the GM Military Discount Program. This great value is available exclusively from GM. |

Yes, this is true, guard soldiers are considered active duty when deployed abroad or at home. Many, if not the majority of, military discounts do not apply to members of the national guard, which I find morally reprehensible. I'm glad GM doesn't do this too. In fact up until recently, I thought they did not offer the discount to NG soldiers.
