So I'd recommend continuing to monitor that site I gave you till GM finally sends out the pricing and info for these cars. Stay safe out there!
That website is facking dumb. It won't let me register because my email doesn't fit in the block provided. The webmaster should be shot on sight.

Do we have to have the code when we put our names down? or when we go to purchase the vehicle? Because I believe those codes expire after a certain amount of time.

Because your email address doesn't have as many characters as mine does. My email has 33 characters in it....the site only allows 31 characters in the box labeled email address. Thus I can't register.

It's really too bad GM doesn't participate in aafes's program. I would guess we'd get a better deal than we'll get when the Camaro comes out.

Also, the rules of the GM program state any dealer can deny you the discount. So, speak to your dealer beforehand if you want to use a military discount.

I love how those discounts only apply to active duty. Here I am on month 7 of a year deployment, but I guess a guardsman's service isn't worth as much in GM's eyes.

straight from the website:

If you are an eligible member of the military, which includes active duty members and Reserves of the U.S. Air Force, Army, Navy, Marines, National Guard and Coast Guard, then you are qualified to receive military pricing on GM vehicles through the GM Military Discount Program. This great value is available exclusively from GM.

I thought when guardsmen were 'called upon' you guys were considered 'Active' while you were in the field only makes sense...

Yes, this is true, guard soldiers are considered active duty when deployed abroad or at home. Many, if not the majority of, military discounts do not apply to members of the national guard, which I find morally reprehensible. I'm glad GM doesn't do this too. In fact up until recently, I thought they did not offer the discount to NG soldiers.
