what gives with bmw drivers - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

HI all most times i drive my ss on the highway bmw s .....mess with me go out of the way to try and get me to race with them it seems like its the only car....i pass mustang corvetts challanger ect but so far its allways BMW do you guys find this happen to you

I think I've been challenged by everything from Ferrari to RX8, and they are all high dollar exotics or turbo's ...

They just want to gauge their car against the Camaro SS. Its a compliment...your driving the car to beat in their eyes.

It's just because they are so used to seeing the tail lights. They want to try and see the front of the car for a change!

Happened to me once since I've had the car. I think it was a 6 series, I don't street race so I let him look like a moron and fly right by.

I used to drag race with a pinto. It ran 10.50's all day long. Don't knock until you've tried it.

I've never had anyone mess with me in the SS but, it doesn't get driven that much. The Corvette I've had a few from a Mustang GT to a GMC truck you name it I've had them try to run me. I just take off real slow off from the light and drive normal. If I'm going to race it will be at the track not on the street.

A severelly modded anything is fast... I am pretty sure he was refrencing some beaters,
