I'm thinking of doing a CAI scoop and washer reloc kit. I drive my Camaro daily even in the winter. I know the draw backs of the reloc kit means a little less washer fluid, but that's not a worry. Snow/salt/ice in the scoop area is my worry. Is the scoop a bad idea with winter weather?

I dont see why you would have an issue, people run injen intakes and those things have the filter very close to the floor and never have an issue. You should be good to go unless you drive in a blizzard.

I don't drive thru heavy snow. I wait for the road to be mostly cleared off. MN winters can be a pain with snow, slush, salt, and all that crap. c_Low...are you in a northern state during the winters?

I am in maryland we dont see a ton of snow. The scoop does have more intake but i dont see it pushing up a bunch of snow at least not enough to get into the filter and damage anything.

There is nothing to worry about. The scoop directs additional air flow into the air box but it does not create a vacuum capable of sucking water or snow vertically. Once the air enters the scoop it makes a 90 degree turn and travels about 1 foot vertically to the air box. With our scoop there is a 45 degree panel that directs the air vertically and provides a surface for moisture to condense against. Once it does there are holes at the bottom of the panel to allow for drainage.
